Sree Siddhi Buddhi Sametha Arulmigu Dakshinamoorthi Vinayakar temple is located in Melattur, about 18 kms from Thanjavur/Tanjore Dt, Tamil Nadu. Although there are several famous temples in this tiny village, one of the most prominent and powerful among them and which has a place in our Ancient Puranam is the Sree Siddhi Buddhi Sametha Arulmigu Dakshinamoorthi Vinayakar temple.

Mythology has it that ‘Sri Gargha Maharishi‘ who had chronicled the 108 famous Vinayakar sthalams (Temples) in the “Gnana Puranam”, has listed the Melattur Sree Siddhi Buddhi Sametha Dakshinamoorthi Vinayakar Temple as the 81st sthalam.
